Instagram alternative #PixelFed's flagship instance pixelfed.social is now permanently closed to new registrations in order to prevent centralisation.
You can still sign up to PixelFed, just pick another instance.

OK friends of free and open/libre Android apps: My repo now also shows screenshots in the web browser, if there are any (and you use the web frontend). Should affect about any 2nd app. Enjoy!

Did you know there's an app to help you check the accessiblity of your Android apps? It's called Accessiblity Scanner and it's quite helpful
Attention #Fennec #FDroid / #Firefox users: The critical 66.0.4 update is now available via F-Droid to fix the broken add-on support because of an expired certificate. That was incredibly fast for F-Droid standards! Don't forget to revert any unofficial fixes. https://f-droid.org/app/org.mozilla.fennec_fdroid
I finally have a solution for opening (libre/MS) office documents on my Phone using only free software!
With Nextcloud, Collabora Online and the Nextcloud Android app.
Editing should work too but is a bit buggy on my Phone still.
Some of the most fun I've had with web development in the past year has actually been learning about #accessibility. Help with CSS/Layout wanted! ❤️
Thanks. @fdroidorg inclusion requests have exposed a number of "open source" Android apps as having non-free dependencies and spyware bundled with them. It seems like the #JitsiMeet app is in that category. It would be great to see app developers acknowledging those issues and working on them, instead of seeing it as the community's job ;)
