Trying out Element to access Matrix, and yeah, maybe a few years ago I had the patience for this stuff... but now? How many times can you stand hearing "Message actions toolbar menu button collapsed submenu react" before you just... can't? I'm not sure, but the number is not one each message I scroll down.
Wrote in my blog about Unix command line conventions over time.

Spain detects Pegasus spyware on PM, defence minister’s phones
Monday’s announcement followed intense pressure on the government to explain itself after digital rights group Citizen Lab said more than 60 people linked to the Catalan separatist movement had been targets of Pegasus.
The Israel-based NSO Group, which owns Pegasus, claims the software is only sold to governments to target criminals and terrorists, with the green light of Israeli authorities.

For Android developers, if you have fast swipe actions for doing things like deleting an item, upvoting a post, favoriting an item, playing an eppisode, stuff like that, consider using accessibility actions.
@apps just wondering whether your repo has moved? There was no commit for about 4 months now on https://framagit.org/tom79/fedilab – and issues remain unanswered. You toot about new versions and your new custom repo, yet there was no release even there since 10/2021.
Not complaining, don't get me wrong – I'm just confused and would appreciate clarification. https://framagit.org/tom79/fedilab/-/issues/540 makes the app hard to use for me, as some days it kills the battery within a few hours if I don't kill (force-close) the app before that.
Yesterday, during a bike ride to the picturesque Microsoft hyperscale datacenter in Middenmeer (NL), I learned that Microsoft and Google store over 2 million liters of Diesel there, of which half is burned during monthly and yearly tests of their emergency generator. I suppose this is commonly known, their way to reach 99,999 percent availability, I just never pictured datacenters having *that* many chimneys... Biking past them also lets the hyper-ness of their scale sink in 😱
pre-school: just noticed in my local git history that in a week my repo seems to turn 6. The first commit was made 2016-03-21. So we're out of kindergarten now 🤣
I've spent the past month or so trying to improve the screen-reader accessibility of the travel screens on Improbable Island.
Sighted players see a five-by-five grid of graphics, while VI players get the option to have their surroundings described to them a few different ways.
I'd love to get a new player's perspective on the new system so if you know someone who uses a screen reader daily, I'd appreciate a boost!
To solve #accessibility for our current simple image captcha, and avoiding proprietary SaaS-S, we wrote down some notes and ideas - including the idea to write a simple self-hostable text-based #Captcha service from scratch.
What do you think? Interested to participate? We are looking for your input to https://codeberg.org/Codeberg-Infrastructure/CaptchaService
Whoops, that's me! If you would like to hear what my voice sounds like, how I as a German sometimes fumble with English words, and generally listen to @StuartLawler and me geek out over Braille and the @hims_overseas BrailleSense 6, this episode is for you. Thanks for having me!
