Discourse (discourse.org) is looking for #accessibility guidance
> Ideally, we would love to start a long-term, paid engagement with someone that actively uses Discourse - we're looking for continuous feedback from you and we're willing to put in the work required to make improvements based on your recommendations.
Heard of @fdroidorg and still wonder what it is? Here's a 10 minute video on PeerTube you might wish to watch, including some recommended apps you can find on F-Droid:
Seems like another blog article sneaked out:
It's a short tutorial about how to use @matrix room directories. As I recently learned on how to use the directory selection feature, it might also be worth reading for you ^^
8 hour voice chat through #jitsi with 4 people. That's definitely not the most stressful workload, but we had zero connection issues for the full 8 hours. 👍
Hi all! This is a call to action for those who would like to help with their accessibility skills, or learn them while working on a not too complex web front-end. The quite popular Jitsi Meet web frontend has some accessibility issues which are preventing people with disabilities like me to participate in many meetings. These issues are low-hanging fruit. So if you would like to to do something good that really helps a lot of people and has big impact, here‘s the issue: https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/issues/4541
I want to live in a world where "what if the internet goes down" is like "what if the freeway is closed". We should still be able to network with our families, neighbors, and communities, and I think it's a mistake to depend on the Internet for those things.
Working on SSB has been really eye-opening to see how much we can do with software that's DIY / P2P / E2E / friend2friend, and I'm really optimistic that we can build and organize small friendly networks that never truly go down. ❤

I love nothing more than OPML related tools! I just finished exporting all of my YouTube subscriptions the other day, now I can get the RSS feeds from the websites of all the people I'm following on Twitter?! This is awesome. I'll need to work out how I might be able to import it all into my following page.
As I look at this wonderful little app, I can't help but think at how nice it might be if they added the SubToMe universal

"Many of our engineering and ops teams are idling or archiving their Slack channels and have moved entirely to Matrix, and that trend isn’t slowing down either."
If Matrix is good enough for @email@example.com, it's surely good enough for you. Don't create yet another Slack workspace. https://twitter.com/matrixdotorg/status/1230620436720955392

Our next #BinaryTransparency log is to monitor all the binaries for #Android SDK components that are #FreeSoftware. Those binaries are central to Android development, and #Google has done some strange things with them in the past. Its implemented as a git repo and has a basic JSON API https://gitlab.com/fdroid/android-sdk-transparency-log#readme
#FOSDEM happened! We just published a quick wrap-up of the conference and videos of all the talks :D Thanks once again to everyone who came to our talks and spoke to us :) https://matrix.org/blog/2020/02/03/matrix-at-fosdem-2020
